digging in local croatian sites one can find the following stuff:

now they say esc07 winner plagiarized the song from albanian singer. check it out urself and submit to esc committee:) i am wondering if it would make her disqualified, ua get the first place?

well-well-well:)
i watched it in serbia with a lot of comments on who and why will win.
- oh in this country lives a bunch of serbs
- well, it this one as well
- and we are neighbours...
- c'mon! u know who's voting in croatia... ??? - serbs!

...and i was still hoping for ukraine till the very end (especially when I saw Masha's efforts in czech republic:)
alas. but afterall it was the first time i physically stayed in the the country that won eurovision during the contest. [and they still were my second choice after hungary]. we contemplated however on how many more votes will former yugoslavian coutries get if [and most probably when] all of them, including kosovo will participate... or shall we move some more ukrainians outside of ukraine? avvvv, did anyone see the tremendous amount of turkish votes in western europe? i think its pretty cool...
and it's such a pity hungary didn't get more votes... i liked the girl. and other curious thing was commentator on serbian tv whenever they showed her, said, oh, that's our second entrant - turns out she's serbian hungarian [and there was a lot of hassle around her participation in eurovision here in hungary - they said 'c'mon how a non-hungarian !!! can represent hu?']

Then i tried to recall other eurovisions - in ceu dorm - and ruslana winning; in australia - in the moldovan guys house - and gryndzoly are... [well, u know], but we had mamalyga and zdob shi zdub were fun:) ; in budapest again - this time as some wifi coffee place.

and just one last note - can be useful to whoever is still having the ukrainian passport - mine - which is 13 month old and is kept in pretty good conditions started behave funny - the photo almost fall off!!!! smelling the possible complications i went to embassy where they said: 'oh, we know about the quality.... every week at least one person comes with same problem'. they suggested how to resolve it [by putting another photo on 'special marks' page], but it costs money [!] and troubles of going twice to embassy. otherwise, they are nice and helpfull...

ps. the most substantial eurovision comment, is still the following: 'While others consider how to buy another car, do another economic reform, and stabilize the society, we are winning the song contest with ultra-national government coming to power'
...and a joke: Perica (some balkan name) is studying in school. He has 1 for math, 1 for history, 1 for language, 1 for literature. But he has 5 for music!. [those jokes, of course, led to other: Ivanko is studying in school. He has 1 for math, 1 for history, 1 for language, 1 for literature. And even for music he has 4 !]

two significant things happenned on tuesday:
number 1. we were first drawing with oil pastels - and it ended up quite pretty:) also not so dirty as coal

number 2 [and by far the most important;]. i got a new hair. just try to say you don't like it!!! [because i adore;)]

this year we have here an amazingly active student council, which will most probably get in CEU history as the 'first-ever-ceu-ball-organizers' {ok, bunch of other parties as well}

yeah, all 'for real' - photographer and glass of champagne in the beginning, light and not so light music. but most importantly... one would never believe those are same ppl who have 'jeans-only' dress code at ceu:)

posting once every saturday can be considered a pretty good speed.
updates on this side of web:

- we've been working in ceu on fp7 application, lost of funny budgeting peculiarities
- seems that I would still need to write an article about the IRWM in ukraine
- since thursday I have guests at home - i am wondering for how much more my men here will tolerate this :p - but still ok...
- Yu on the usual route from kiev to lund
- a croatian friend on short but already pretty exciting visit:)
- one small cocktail party friday night - with some home-made mojitos and pina-coladas (virgins included;))
- long-long saturday walk around city with numerous coffee-stops and ending with visiting the most exciting bp sightseeing place - mng outlet [giiiiirls] + etam outlet + whatever else shop
- today was fun-fun - riding those tandem bicycles at margit sziget - for those who's still on a way to budapest, island in the middle of city.
- coffee-coffee-coffee, medierranean food, cocktails at home - we do seem to become quite a prefessionals.
- and well. it's still two weekends ahead.

that's a kind of almost perfect day today. so let's see.
woke up early [no i mean it, like 8 in the morning], promised to watch just one part of satc, ended up watching half-season...
got to the market, bought my strawberries, a kilo
...back home took 1000 pics of them before killing them all.
had a nice nap, walk, cheese cake and latte with hippo's best friend.

met girls, had 'cosmopolitan' [yeeeeah, half-season of satc]...
and did more good things back home:) {no hippos involved. only their bext friends}

yet another procrustination

guess what, of course there are two more deadlines that just passed and i am ~~working~~ procrustinating again. and when i am ~~working~~ procrustinating [truth be noted, i am not oto original in this...], i clean the house, cook a lot, buy new towels for bathroom, read a lot of unrelated books...and post something here:)

Keeping track on the movements. I was in Ukraine since end of March, spend few days in Kiev, been at dad's bday, took bro to kiev to do some probation entry tests to uni. that was fun and horrible, we didn't spend three full days just two of us for such a long time! May be I just need to do it more often and we'll be keeping on track with him, because, well, he is fun and smart, and a bit weird like all these young people. Risha and Anya coming from moscow and kishinev, Ninus' from her new job:) [ceu was a big thing, huh?], Valyush, that was all almost perfect.

and then yet another lecture in ukma - they seemes to like it, me too, even though the hardest questions I got to answer from friends: so u volunteer again? along the week some more meetings, one-day lunch trip to Kharkiv [lunch was truely good, but the trip did make me so tired]. By the time i had the return flight to Bp i became dead tired and flu-sick. next three Easter days were mostly horizontal. aha, with the break for stuffing with nice food at a friendly place:) and some walking, and some coffee-breaks in favourite goethe-cafe and alibi.

as usually I am absolutely puzzled with the question of budapest enigma - what's so good about this place that so many ppl feel here good at the same time??? if u know the answer...share:)

eating ice-cream together is fun. you can have two flavors, enjoy both and still have just a little scoop of pistacia-turo-grapefruit-chocolate ice-cream.

even going to ikea together is fun. you can have bunch of stuff, and still suffer less when trying to carry all that home. it's not as good as eating ice-cream, but, hey, those towels look fantastic...

знову академія і - йой - як мені знову було соромно за свою "професійну" українську. знаю, що треба лише трохи почекати і повернеться, але ці перші дві години...

на плацу сонячно, голосно, і жодного знайомого обличчя... на фотках з "академічної" зустрічі випускників знаю майже всіх. це вік? до мене звертаються "анастасіє" (добре, що без "пані") і трохи дослухаються...таки-точно вік:)

в букві на льва толстого все змінили догори ніг, блукала півгодини але знайшлася; навіть обирала між різними профільними книжками (це точно вік, якщо вони зявилися)

новина тижня в змі - ошан купив фуршет. а в фуршеті на подолі все догори ніг навіть більше, ніж в букві.

брат (ага, отой маленький) вступає в універ цього року. вік.
